Improving Health and Well-Being of Women and their Families in Nepal

May 30, 2021: click here to see a short video (on our Facebook page) of one of the recipients of Covid-related food aid in a remote area of Sindhupalchok expressing her gratitude for the rice, lentils, cooking oil, salt, and soap donated to 135 families by Friends of Nepal Pariwar Foundation and distributed through our partner BBP Pariwar.

Here is one of the students we help support through our partner in the Ramechhap area, Bajra Samaj Nepal (BSN). Shirisha Nepali is taking a 3 year course in Kathmandu to become a nurse. She is from a low caste (tailors), and she and her family depend on maternal grandparents who take out loans to pay for her schooling. BSN has supported her schooling since 7th grade. As you can see, she is dedicated and determined to achieve her goals. May 23, 2021

This is another student we help support through our partner in the Ramechhap area, Bajra Samaj Nepal (BSN). Ramesh Ale Magar is taking an 18 month course in civil engineering. He is the youngest brother of Gita Ale Magar who we supported with a full scholarship to complete a nurse midwife course, and now she is helping support Ramesh since their parents are economically-challenged.
